Overview

The 2016 Lincoln MKZ makes for an excellent contender in the midsize sedan segment. With four trims on offer, the 2018 Lincoln MKZ retails at a base MSRP of $35,605 competing directly with the Infiniti Q50, the Acura TLX, and the BMW 3 Series 328i. With the 2 trim levels, the Lincoln MKZ offers 2 powertrains. The base engine is a 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 engine capable of making 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 300 horsepower-making a 3.7L V6 engine. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Lincoln MKZ reaches 60 MPH from zero in 7.2 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 6.7 seconds with the 3.7L V6 engine. Depending on the powertrain, the Lincoln MKZ can manage a combined fuel economy between 20 and 24 MPG. While we’re on the topic of choices, the 9 striking colors the Lincoln MKZ comes in really pull you towards itself.

Buying Advice

We suggest you choose the base Lincoln MKZ and spec it with optional packages. Remember that the Technology package comes with a host of desirable driving assist technologies. However, your configuration becomes eligible for the Technology package only when you opt for either the Select package or Reserve package.

              Lincoln MKZ HYBRID outstanding car

Pros - ["Full sized sedan (MKZ hybrid) gets over 42 mpg. Only about $2000 spent in repairs with almost 220,000 miles on it now. Luxury ride and great looking car.", ". high milage . low maintenance costs . great look . great interior . smooth ride"]

Cons - ["Not much. Entertainment functions could be better, does not even have android play or mapping.", ". not great entertainment system . no andriod play . no mapping"]

To start, it is a full size luxury sedan that seats 5 comfortably and gets over 42 miles per gallon. Has plenty of power, quite easy ride, and looks great. Now has 218,000 miles and minor issues and still a dependable ride. Interior still looks like new.. Oil changes are every 10,000 miles. Has no starter, alternator, and transmission is a single gear sealed unit, so no fluid changes nor shifting...
