Overview

The 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid fares well in the midsize sedan segment. Adding $6,000 to the price of the standard gasoline variant, the Accord hybrid carries a base price of MSRP $29,605 and is offered in 3 trims, reaching a price of MSRP $35,955 for its top trim. The engine on service here is a familiar 2.0L Inline-4 engine supported by an AC motor and a 1.3-kWh battery pack system. Mated to a CVT, it makes 212 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. The combined fuel economy improves from 26 MPG on the standard gasoline variant to 48 MPG on the hybrid, making the increase in sticker price worth it. The performance of the Accord hybrid remains at par with the gasoline variant, with the car accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 7.2 seconds. Honda offers the same 8 colors for the Accord hybrid.

Buying Advice

With 3 available trims for the 2017 Accord Hybrid, we recommend the base trim level as all the hybrid trims are evenly equipped with the main difference being that EX-L and Touring trim is offered with the touchscreen infotainment system. The touchscreen isn't particularly reliable as the good old infotainment system in base trim hence it's a solid value-for-money vehicle with enormous practicality.
