Overview

The 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport SUV is a proud member of the midsize SUV segment which is available as fleet only. It locks horns with cars like the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, the Kia Sorento SUV, and the Toyota Highlander SUV which has a seating capacity of 7. Spread across 3 main trims, the Captiva Sport starts off at a base price of MSRP of $24,155 and carries on to $29,615. Its 2.4L Inline-4 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission give the SUV 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages a 0-60 of 10.2 seconds and boasts a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the Captiva Sport manages to get a combined EPA rating of 23 MPG, which is just average for the class, with most of its rivals reaching similar numbers. It also has a ground clearance of 7.8 inches.

Buying Advice

There are a total of 4 trims as the base LS trim is further divided into 1LS and 2LS trims. However, we think the middle LT trim is a better choice with an optional power sunroof and leather upholstery.
