... drinks,  pretty dismal  :(  6. When the car is parked idling... while key is still in the ignition, the car turns itself off. while off you can still move the gear and put in Reverse or Drive, but as soon as you realize the car isn't actually on,  and let go of the gas, the car will move as if it was in neutral - manual re-start is a must! pretty dangerous when on a hill if you don't pay attention to the message on the dashboard. Being a carry-over model, the 2022 Audi Q3 continues to be a solid build SUV by the brand having a certain 5-star NHTSA rating for a base MSRP of $36,400. However, this 184 hp(40 TFSI) and 228 horsepower(S Line 45 TFSI) spirited luxury feel a little compromised in its overall reliability index as the J.D power rating ceases at just 77 just like its 2021 predecessor.

Though the Audi Q3 2022 now features an upgraded standard safety suite with a finely insulated cabin altogether but the competitions like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Volvo XC40 have their games stepped up already in this regard. All in all, its trim lineup of Premium trim and Premium Plus have got plenty to prove against such worthy haulers.

2022 Audi Q3 J.D Power Rating

The 2022 Audi Q3 has scored an average J.D power rating of 77 which is cumulative of 77 in Quality and Reliability and 73 in Driving Experience. The Resale Value of 81 and Dealership of 77 in the same J.D power index are also indicative of the fact that Q3 has a lot to do in this regard holistically.

2022 Audi Q3 user complaints and problems

The 2022 Audi Q3 has no complaints named yet at the NHTSA. However, the 2021 Audi Q3 has 3 complaints issued that can be a potential repetition in the 2022 model year as well. Some of them have been mentioned below:

  • Lane departure warning system malfunction: The lane departure warning system of the Audi Q3 is prone to malfunction causing undesirable warnings even when not required.
  • Structure: The A3 may have some problems in its two-step locking process that may not engage properly.

2022 Audi Q3 recalls

The 2022 Audi Q3 goes untamed in its recall history while the 2021 Q3 has one recall in its register that has been mentioned below:

What model year of the Audi Q3 to avoid?

Considering the NHTSA recalls and complaints, it is advisable to avoid the 2020 Audi Q3 as it is a package of 39 complaints and 2 recalls. These figures drastically reduce in its successors indicating the engineering that has been done to outdo such issues.

Should you buy a used Audi Q3?

The 2022 Audi Q3 and 2021 Audi Q3 are two of the SUVs in the lineage with no dents to their structural integrity and other subsystems. So, one can choose to go for either all-new 2022 Q3 or the used 2021 Q3 as per one's convenience while ignoring the Q3 2020 at the same time.
