Overview

Competing in the compact wagon, the 2016 Volvo V60 Wagon goes up against other notable names in the class, like the BMW 3 Series 328i xDrive wagon. Meanwhile, the Audi Allroad Wagon and the Ford Flex Wagon are also potential rivals from the midsize wagon segment where the Flex has a standard seating capacity of 7 as opposed to 5 given on any other wagon in the competition. Spread across 10 trim, the V60 starts off at a base price of MSRP of $36,150 and carries on to 10. Not all trims are built equal, however, as there are 4 powertrains on offer. Starting off is the 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 and an 8-speed automatic transmission base engine. Making 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, this engine makes the V60 capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 mph in just 6.9 seconds. One can also opt for a bigger 2.5L Turbo Inline-5 that is paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 250 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. For more power, a 325 horsepower-making 3.0L Turbo Inline-6 engine is present which is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, a 2.0L Turbo Supercharged Inline-4 puts out 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque and is coupled with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Buying Advice

We are recommending the T5 Premier trim that comes with the 2.5L Turbo Inline-5 engine and all-wheel drive system. You should also consider the Technology Package and the Climate Package combo for heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, driver alert control, and other safety plus comfort features.
