AIR BAGS

While I was driving on freeway, driver side airbag went off and blew off driver visor.  I had no accident. Message on screen before incident said there was an issue with airbag and go to dealership. Earlier that day I had been at dealership for a warranty issue of interior lights. I returned to dealership and was given  a temporary car.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Condensation is present in the inner surface in one or both (inner and/or outer) taillamps.

STRUCTURE

While opening the door, a âgroaningâ sound is heard from the door brake.
Doors open and close stiffly.

POWER TRAIN

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

MINI Interaction Unit (MIU) may intermittently black out.

While driving on a smooth and/or uneven road,
a âpoppingâ sound is heard from the bottom of
the C-pillar area. This can occur on one and/or
both sides on the vehicle C-pillars.

SEATS

The dimensions on the original factory-installedright side rear seat backrest microswitchassembly may not be correct. If this is thecase, this causes microswitch to move whenthe seat backrest is raised to the uprightseating position.
The screwdriver tip (left) points to the gapbetween the microswitch and the plastichousing in which it mounts.
This is the gap that must be eliminated tocorrect this issue. This can be done byinstalling a new microswitch.

ENGINE

Customer states that he/she sees a check control message for the rear seat not being locked.
There is fault codes stored in the air bag ACSM6 control module:
930C19 - Backrest Sensor right 2nd seat row: open circuit
930D76 - Function rear restraint system restricted

Customers may report various issues in the vehicle, to include:
Bluetooth Malfunctions
Head Unit Performance
Telephony Malfunctions

Due to a software error in the
Basic Central Platform (BCP), Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) is no longerpossible.

Customers may report that the display of the MINI Interaction Unit (MIU) flickers once on and off. Thisflickering is not continuous but may occur once every 15 to 50 seconds.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

VISIBILITY/WIPER

SUSPENSION

During inspection and/or diagnosis there is noticeable dirt/grease buildup on the axles near the inner and/or outer CV boots.

The vehicle may have issues with SiriusXM operation. Specifically, SiriusXM may not be available oroperating in the vehicle; OR SiriusXM audio is interrupted sporadically.
The following faults may be stored in the head unit (HU-H6):
B7F912 â âCommunication between SDARS application and RAM SXM module is not possibleâ
B7F924 â âSDARS SXM360L function not availableâ

Various concerns with Apple CarPlay may be reported in the vehicle, including:
The Apple CarPlay connection is sporadically terminated
The connection to Apple CarPlay cannot be established
Apple CarPlay cannot be activated
No fault memory entry is stored for these customer complaints.

The initial loading time for the MINI Interaction Unit (MIU) takes a significantly long time. The start-up animation remains on the MINI Interaction Unit (MIU) for more than 30 seconds.

Some model year (MY) 2023/2024 MINI vehicles may be equipped with a Body Domain Controller (BDC)that needs to be replaced. This is not a safety, emissions, or any other performance issue.

Quality improvements and robustness measures are to be implemented on the affected vehicles via thissoftware update.
The software update improves functions in the following areas of the vehicle:
Bluetooth malfunctions
The start-up phase of the HU has been shortened (faster start of the operating system)
The number of disconnections from Apple CarPlay have been reduced
Vehicle access and the drive-ready state have been improved
The AC charging abort error has been fixed
Remote Control Parking without function

Check Control message: Drive. Check as soon as possible.
The emissions warning lamp (MIL) may light up and the following fault has been stored in the DME faultmemory:
1E0308 - idle speed control, plausibility, cold start: Speed implausible

software update.
The software update improves functions in the following areas of the vehicle:
Bluetooth malfunctions
The start-up phase of the HU has been shortened (faster start of the operating system)
The number of disconnections from Apple CarPlay have been reduced
Vehicle access and the drive-ready state have been improved

In certain vehicles, the speeds in the Active Safety menu may be incorrectly displayed as 0 miles per hour(MPH).

discharged HV battery, requiring replacement.
