The interior of the Prius is easily recognizable for its innovative design. The airy cabin offers an adequate amount of passenger space. Available SofTex heated front seats help the driver and co-passenger in cold weather. Getting in and out of the car is very convenient. All of the ports, buttons, and controls are easily accessible and they do not feel made of low-quality materials. The material quality on the door panel in the Toyota termed–moonstone interior, feels pretty premium looking. Moonstone interior — a combination of black and very light grey colored materials throughout the interior. The armrest on the door panel is not super soft, but it is capable of giving relief to your arm.
Manually adjusted cloth seats with teal-looking stitching on the LE trim look gentle and provide good support. The piano black trim on the center console merges with its 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. The dashboard of the Prius does get some elements finished in chrome. Though the material gets dirty very easily it gives an approachable appeal to the interior. Center mounted instrument cluster might be a little confusing for the drivers who have a habit to see it just behind the steering. It feels nice and most of the information about the car is easily visible. A cool thing is,that it can show how much money a driver has saved by driving this Prius hybrid. Even with the lithium-ion battery in the back seat area, the seats deliver plenty of headroom, and nice legroom even without pushing the front row seat.
The back of the seats have plush-like material and a huge storage pocket to carry stuff. The rear seats consist of two USB charging ports. The Prius does not offer air conditioning for the rear seats, but the AC on the front spreads the air equally. The center armrest in the back seats is soft and consists of two cup holders. With a capacity of 5 passengers, it carries along a total passenger volume of 93.1 cu.-ft.

In the front row, all of the crossover vehicles offer almost the same amount of legroom. Being an SUV, the Kia Niro constructs more space by folding its second-row seats. The 2023 Honda Insight has the least amount of cargo space behind the second row. The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq and the Prius have almost the same cargo carrying capacity. In the second row, the Toyota Prius has the least amount of space to keep legs.

How Intuitive is the 2023 Toyota Prius Infotainment System?
The Toyota delivers a standard 7-inch infotainment touchscreen on the usual trims. It feels small and does not offer that touch response a driver will be looking in. However, on the Limited trim, it offers an 11.2-inch portrait display that somewhere feels replicated from the Tesla’s screen. The icons on both of the screens feel very dated and it does not have very high brightness. The 7-inch infotainment screen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, surprisingly the higher models only get Apple CarPlay. The screen gets most of the tasks done. The MID on the top of that is very sharp and clear. The icons' color is more catchy and helps understand the vehicle information very easily. Except for the 10-speaker JBL sound system on the Limited variant, all the models have a 6-speaker audio system that does not provide a pleasing sound.
Highlights of the infotainment system –
- 3 LCD monitors on the front
- Integrated roof antenna
- Speed compensated volume control
- Steering wheel controls
- SiriusXM with 3 months platinum plan subscription
- Alexa compatible
