Overview

Competing in the midsize coupe segment, the 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe is a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Benz AMG GTC Coupe, the Audi R8 Coupe, and the Nissan GT-R Coupe. With two trims on offer, the 911 Turbo carries an MSRP of $159,200. It is offered with a 3.8L Twin-Turbo Flat-6 engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, producing 540 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. The same engine is tweaked for 580 horsepower on the Turbo S trim. Both versions of the 911 Turbo manage a 0-60 of 2.9 seconds and a combined fuel economy of 21 MPG.

Buying Advice

The high output Turbo S trim makes more sense as it gets a more powerful engine and carbon ceramic brakes. We also recommend going for the optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (+$3,160) which includes an active roll bar to reduce the lateral movements actively to eliminate body roll substantially. Moreover, the Power Steering Plus (+$270) brings more connection between you and the car and also sharpens the steering response
