Promising to be one of the most rugged things on God’s green earth, the 2020 Nissan Armada is a workhorse through and through. Although many people would consider it outdated and that the ride quality is not close to the best you will find in the full-size SUV segment, it has always proven to be a very reliable contender. According to the NHTSA, the car has not even reported a single complaint or recall this year. With starting prices at an MSRP of $47,100, it surely is not cheap. We had to go out of our way to get in touch with some owners to find out what could be some of the problems that have affected them. While there are some issues, the car has kept buyers very happy. You will find that it competes against the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Toyota Sequoia, and the GMC Yukon. Let us find out more about the Nissan Armada problems through this article.

2020 Nissan Armada User Complaints and Problems

Mechanical problems:

  • A few owners of past model year cars have had Nissan Armada air suspension problems. This will cause the suspension to fail and the repair is quite expensive.

Electrical system problems:

  • Very rarely, owners have experienced starting trouble in the car. It can hesitate to start and then start right up after a few tries. It has not caused much of a reliability issue and hence many owners have not reported it.
  • There are some reports of battery draining issues and this will cause multiple systems and the cars to fail. However, Nissan has taken many steps to counter this problem, and the car seems reliable for the most part.

Safety problems:

  • A few owners have reported issues with the automatic emergency braking not functioning properly in certain situations. What we can see is that this is not an issue that is restricted to this car alone or this manufacturer alone and hence it would be unfair to blame them for it.

2020 Nissan Armada Recalls

The 2020 Nissan Armada has not reported any recalls as of now.

Should you buy the 2020 Nissan Armada?

The Nissan Armada continues without much in the name of changes and is still a great car no matter what. Although some problems in this car are expensive like air suspension problems, we have observed that they do not occur for most cars and that Nissan has continually improved the reliability of that system. The 2020 models also have the reputation of being extremely spotless in terms of their reliability reputation and hence, we had to dig a lot to find any sort of problems with them. It might be a simple car by today’s standards but this engineering simplicity keeps it utterly reliable if you ask us. At the same time, it has also managed to provide customers with the latest technology in terms of creature comforts.
