Overview

The 2016 Mercedes Benz AMG GT-S Coupe makes for an excellent contender in the midsize coupe class. With just one trim on offer, the Mercedes Benz AMG GT-S has a base MSRP of $129,900, competing directly with the Nissan GT-R, the Porsche 911 GTS, and the Jaguar F-Type-R which is a compact coupe. Only a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine is offered, mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, the AMG GT-S maintains a combined fuel economy of 18 MPG. Mercedes-Benz offers the AMG GT-S in 11 stunning colors, with the AMG Solarbeam Yellow being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

As mentioned before, it is available as a standalone trim with all the features you can ever as for. To spice things up, you can go for the AMG Dynamic plus package ($2,400) and the AMG exterior carbon fiber package ($5,300) to make your GT better in terms of performance, handling, and aero efficiency.
