Overview

Last refreshed back in 2018, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator gets new color choices along with more standard features. Phone-based vehicle access is now available while the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 suite of driver safety aids is also now offered as standard. The 2020 Lincoln Navigator price starts at $76,185 apart from the $1,295 destination fee. The Navigator sees a price hike of $2,980 over the previous model year.

Featuring a 3-trim lineup of the Navigator, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator MSRP can be an expense of $76,185-$97,135 this season. Having said that, it simply translates to the fact that the range-leader 2020 Lincoln Navigator Black Label 4WD will cost you $20,950 more than the base 2020 Navigator Standard for enhanced specs and assets.

We Recommend

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator Reserve trim is the one to go for. It adds plenty of creature comforts and driver safety aids just for a minor price hike.

The 2020 Navigator aims to offer additional safety features and comfort than its predecessor. The extended wheelbase ‘Navigator L’ version offers higher cargo capacity and cabin space than the standard wheelbase version. It faces competition from some strong rivals like the age-old nemesis 2020 Cadillac Escalade, the luxurious & efficient 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS Class, and the affordable 2020 Infiniti QX80

2020 Lincoln Navigator for sale

The Lincoln Navigator finance option starts at $1,330 at 3.9% APR for a 60-month duration. The 2020 Navigator lease deals begin at $1,211/month for a tenure of 36 months with an annual mileage limit of 12,000 miles. Both buying options require a down payment of $7,620 at the time of signing.

For budget-oriented buyers, the used Lincoln Navigator can be availed of with a base price of $1,950. Going for older model years like the 2018 Lincoln Navigator could be a matter of $39,999 and Lincoln Navigator 2018 can cost as much as $82,500 along with a listing of up to 349 in total.

Buying Advice

We would recommend the Reserve trim as it comes with many advanced features as standard. It also offers desirable features like 1st and 2nd row seats trimmed in leather upholstery, 24-way power adjustability for first row seats with thigh extenders, premium Revel audio system, 360-degree camera, panoramic Vista Roof, etc. We would also suggest the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package and Cargo Convenience Package to make the Reserve trim even more versatile.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

" The 2020 Lincoln Navigator makes a massive statement with its style, its power and its exceptional interior."-The Car Connection

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator surpasses all expectations with its 3.5L twin-turbocharged powerful V6 engine, driver-assistance features, and distinctive styling. Along with its 8,200 lbs towing capacity, it also offers a very premium interior with three rows that are spacious enough to fit adults even for longer journeys and provides great passenger convenience with a large 10-inch touchscreen display with the latest SYNC 3.0 interface, along with a long list of safety features including the Lincoln Co-Pilot360.

The Lincoln Navigator Black Label owners will get four years of complimentary scheduled maintenance instead of just one year, which runs standard for Navigator 2020 standard and reserve trims. The maintenance cost for the 2020 Lincoln Navigator over a period of 5 years is estimated at $15,130. A depreciation of around $49,255 in resale value across a five-year ownership period is expected.

“The new Lincoln Navigator throws off its hand-me-down schmatta and wraps itself in a glamorous new wardrobe.”- thecarconnection

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator is a big, brawny SUV that can easily dwarf many of its rivals. The exterior styling of the Navigator is powerful and flaunts elegance with the front rectangular grille embellished in chrome with the Lincoln logo shining on it. The wrap-around LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps look premium. The front active grille shutters help in improving aerodynamic efficiency and cooling.

The side profile is as boxy as it can get and is reminiscent of Ford Expedition albeit in a more premium avatar. The door handles get illuminated handle pockets and chrome treated. The large 22-inch alloy wheels on higher trims complement the overall styling of the Navigator. It also gets power deployable running boards for convenience. The rear profile is attractive as well with LED tail lamps connected via a LED strip and a vertically opening power liftgate. The dual exhaust with chrome tips looks premium.

Competition
6.0/10

2020 Lincoln Navigator Vs 2020 Infiniti QX80

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator boasts one of the best interiors in its class whereas the Infiniti QX80 is less expensive than it. The Lincoln Navigator offers better cargo capacity and higher ground clearance as well. The Infiniti QX80 can't match the Navigator in terms of interior comfort and space management as well. The Infiniti QX80 is less expensive and more compact than the Navigator, offering better maneuverability in urban conditions. It also offers strong after-sales expertise of Nissan via Infiniti service centers and is more reliable as well. It also offers an excellent towing capacity of 8,800 pounds

2020 Lincoln Navigator Vs 2020 Cadillac Escalade

The 2020 Cadillac Escalade is believed to be one of the closest rivals of the Lincoln Navigator. Both vehicles offer long wheelbases along with a spacious cabin. The Cadillac offers a V8 engine that is less fuel efficient as compared to the Navigator. The Navigator is equipped with a downsized V6 engine but offers better performance and class-leading range as well. The 2020 Cadillac Escalade has an upper hand in terms of standard magnetic ride control which provides unparalleled ride comfort. It also gets an automatic park assist feature which is a part of its autonomous quotient. The 16-speaker Bose Centerpoint Sound system on the Escalade provides a satisfying musical experience.

2020 Lincoln Navigator Vs 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS Class

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 brings the age-old tri-star charm along with it. The 2020 Lincoln Navigator offers better performance and towing capacity than the GLS 450. It is not as luxurious as the Navigator but provides a comfortable riding experience for its passengers. The Navigator offers higher passenger volume and cargo capacity as well. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4Matic is equipped with a smaller engine yet it offers similar performance figures. The dual-screen infotainment system on the GLS 450 is surely a cult favorite owing to its ease of use and response. Overall, it also offers better maneuverability and reliability as compared to the Lincoln Navigator.

Final Verdict
8.0/10

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator is something that can make you feel proud and pampered all the time. It offers a superior list of interior features while not being very fuel efficient. The 3.5L V6 engine is powerful enough to give you a towing capacity of 8,700 pounds. Equipped with many class-leading driver-assist features as standard, it lacks a bit in reliability quotient. However, the 2020 Lincoln Navigator is worth buying for its build quality, luxury and technology.
