Overview

The 2016 Lexus IS 300 Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the compact sedan segment. With a single trim on offer, the Lexus IS 300 has a base MSRP of $39,700 and has no direct competitor but the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the Audi A4 with their inline-4 can be considered as indirect competitors. Only a 3.5-liter V6 engine is offered, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 255 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, the Lexus IS 300 maintains a combined fuel economy of 21 MPG. Lexus offers the IS 300 in 8 stunning colors, with the Redline being a particular favorite of ours. 

Buying Advice

The Lexus IS 300 brings the performance but with the “Luxury” package ($3,945) it becomes a complete luxury sedan. Features such as power-adjustable heated steering wheel, leather upholstery with wood trimmed dash, LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, etc is what helps it to enhance the overall experience.
