Known for manufacturing limited models, Lamborghini being an Italian manufacturer had always been in the game of manufacturing some of the astonishing cars and presenting them to the world. The Urus is a suitable addition to the brand’s midsize luxury SUV segment that has ample reliability for a certain class of customers. Available with a beginning price of $218,150 the vehicle's market popularity is heavily challenged by its close rivals like the Bentley Bentayga and the Mercedes Benz AMG G63.

Though Urus might appear fairly pricey than some of its arch rivals like the Bentley and Benz, the vehicle’s loyalty towards its targeted customers can be barely questioned at all. The unbelievable loyalty of Urus is one of the significant reasons for the vehicle to sell 4,391 units in 2020. However, the vehicle’s reliability came into question when crack marks were identified in the vehicle’s engine cylinder bore surface. Such problematic issues raised queries about the vehicle’s trustworthiness and compelled the Lamborghini owners to reconsider the faith they had in the brand.

User Complaints and Problems

There have been no complaints or issues found to be registered on the NHTSA website about the Lamborghini Urus for the respective year. However, we have added the most commonly found problems and disturbances that have been claimed by Urus users.

Engine and Mechanical Problems

  • Cracks identified in the engine cylinder bore surface

Cracks noted in the engine cylinder bore surface might deprive the car’s cylinder to inflow sufficient fuel supply to the main engine. Lack of adequate fuel supply to the car’s main engine might stall the car’s main engine thereby bringing it to a complete halt.

  • Poor mileage factor

Maximum Lamborghini users have found the car’s mileage is not too good when it comes to reliability. Its fast pick-up is one of the common reasons for the car fuel tank to run dry. During such instances, the vehicle engine can stall and stop in the middle of the road. The driver might have a hard time taking the vehicle to any nearby pump station if it is not nearby.

Miscellaneous Problems

  • Handcrafted designs have high chances of manufacturing errors

Maximum Lamborghini cars are handcrafted, as a matter of which often the vehicle owners have found issues with the basic structural design. Such issues might compel the owners to rush to dealers for fixing the issues on multiple occasions.

  • Expensive maintenance cost

Expensive maintenance cost is a significant issue in most of the Lamborghini models. At times, the excessive maintenance cost of the vehicle might cost an arm and a leg for the vehicle owner to repair or replace the faulty parts if the vehicle’s insurance time period has already expired.

Fuel leakage issues from the fuel line connector lying adjacent to it

Excessively high temperature in the fuel line engine compartment may lead to damage in fuel line quick connector possibly leading to a fuel leakage

The owners will be notified by the Lamborghini about the issue and the dealers are going to replace both the fuel line and the quick connector without claiming any expenses. The recall was scheduled to begin on December 18 2020

Should you Buy a 2020 Lamborghini?

The majority of the buyers might have to decide twice or maybe thrice to shift their focus from Urus to any of its close rivals. Reliability enclosed in a stylish package is the major reason that might compel people to buy a 2020 Lamborghini Urus at a resale price.

Though the fuel leakage issues found with the car’s fuel line connector were a serious concern that raised the trustworthiness of the brand, Lamborghini didn’t give much time to its rivals to grab this opportunity to take its market reputation. The brand asked the dealership to replace the faulty fuel line connector and replace it with newer ones after issuing a recall. If someone is willing to purchase a used Lamborghini Urus, we would recommend the respective buyer examine the car thoroughly. If it wins the satisfactory level of the user and proves free from the major issues that were recorded, we would ask the individual to initiate the purchase before someone else does!
