Overview

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab is a classic, reliable truck that has been a favorite among drivers for many years. Even though it has been over a decade since its release, it still holds its own against newer models on the market. The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab faces tough competition from newer models, such as the Toyota Tacoma and the Chevrolet Colorado. However, the Ranger's reputation for reliability and durability makes it a compelling choice for many truck buyers.

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab comes in three trims: XL, XLT, and Sport. The XL is the base model, while the XLT adds more features, and the Sport offers a more athletic look and performance.

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab is powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 143 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Ranger's towing capacity is up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped, making it a great choice for hauling cargo.

The Ranger's handling is agile and responsive, making it a pleasure to drive on winding roads. It also offers excellent maneuverability in tight spaces, making it an ideal truck for urban areas.

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab offers good fuel economy, with an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

The Ranger's interior is functional and straightforward, with durable materials that can withstand the rigors of daily use. The base XL model is sparsely equipped, while the XLT and Sport trims offer more features, such as power windows, locks, and mirrors.

The Ranger's exterior design is timeless, with clean lines and a rugged, muscular stance. The Sport trim adds a more aggressive look, with a sport-tuned suspension, alloy wheels, and body-colored bumpers.

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab comes standard with antilock brakes, stability control, and side-impact airbags. It also received a four-star rating for frontal crash protection from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab may be an older model, but it still offers excellent performance, handling, fuel economy, and safety features. Its simple, no-nonsense design is appealing to those who value functionality over flashiness. Overall, the Ranger is a great choice for anyone in the market for a reliable, affordable truck.

Buying Advice

For the 2010 Ford Ranger Regular Cab, we would recommend getting the mid-range XLT trim. It adds further enhancements like added fog lamps, an upgraded exterior trim, cloth upholstery (regular cab), full power accessories, keyless entry, a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel and an upgraded stereo with CD player, satellite radio, and an auxiliary audio jack. We also liked the Dark Shadow Gray Metallic, Oxford White, and Redfire Metallic exterior paint options as they help the Ranger retain its fun and outdoorsy persona.

A very capable little truck that guzzles gas

Pros - ["Very Simple", "Easy to drive", "Very capable"]

Cons - ["Bad on gas", "Old design", "Not a lot of power"]

A 2011 Ford Ranger is a very capable little truck. It will for sure get you from A to B just you may have to fill up twice. The truck guzzles gas like a v8 but it has a 6 cylinder. It's got an old but simple design and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to repair and is easy to do yourself if you have even a little mechanical knowledge.
