The 2024 Ford F150 Raptor is trim on its own and starts at around 77K. The major choice you have to make is whether or not to get the Raptor 37 and Raptor R packages. Raptor 37 package equips the truck with dual Valve Shocks, 37-inch all-terrain tires with just 1.1 inches of additional ground clearance, and a bigger space for spare tires. Modular front bumper with tow hooks with 17-inch beadlock capable wheels also comes standard.
This package is a whopping $11,700 option. Yes, you do get a lot for your money, but choosing the 37 inches means you have decided to go Baja mode 24*7 and sacrifice a bit of on-road comfort, which 35 inches despite their massive size are better at than the former and are quite capable at high-speed off-roading.
The Raptor-R package is a completely different beast altogether and offers 110 percent of what Ford intended the Raptor for. The supercharger whine is very addictive and the sheer speed the Raptor R carries on the not-so-perfect pavement is pure insanity, the only downside is that with the Raptor R, the 2024 Ford F-150 will cross the $100,000 mark and the MPG is an utter but expected disappointment at just 5 miles to a gallon.
The 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor pushes the boundaries of what a performance truck is capable of achieving and feels delightfully over the top. While some may argue its utilitarian aspects are just decent, the Raptor thrives on gravel-bound madness, making it a true guilty pleasure for enthusiasts.
Competing fiercely with the RAM TRX and Silverado ZR2, the Raptor showcases Ford's innovative suspension technology, setting it apart as the closest thing to a trophy truck available in 2024.
Both the 2024 Ford F150 Raptor come with plenty of features as standard including leather-trimmed seats, Pro Power Onboard – 2.0kW, B&O audio, and a heads-up display. The Raptor R has unique stitching, an Alcantara interior with 37-inch tires. The infotainment is now upgraded and comes with dual 12-inch displays. Other notable features are aluminum Running Boards, Front and Rear Tow Hooks, and Trail Control.

Under the hood, the standard F-150 Raptor is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, generating 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. This engine delivers impressive acceleration, allowing the Raptor to tackle any terrain with ease. It comes with 12 inches of ground clearance and can do 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds
The Raptor R takes performance to the next level with its supercharged 5.2-liter V8, producing an astounding 720 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic with a 4.10 Electronic Locking Axle Ratio. The supercar killing 0-60 mph in mid-3 seconds doesn’t hurt either.
Both engines are paired with a responsive 10-speed automatic transmission, which optimizes power delivery and efficiency. The Raptor’s advanced 4WD system, coupled with a Terrain Management System with 7 selectable drive modes. A low-speed cruise control for off-road use is also present.
The piece de resistance of the 2024 Ford F-150 is its FOX Dual Live Valve shocks powered by Ford’s Performance-designed off-road algorithms. The position-sensitive compression control and continuously variable rebound controls adjust the shocks in milliseconds for a firm grip on every terrain.
Long trailing arms, a Panhard rod, and 24-inch coil springs with either 35-inch or 37-inch all-terrain tires round up the suspension setup.
The 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor comes loaded with every feature imaginable, with only a couple of the above-mentioned packages to choose from.
interior is meticulously designed for both comfort and performance. Starting with the front seats, are upholstered in durable, high-quality leather with unique Raptor branding.
The seats are power-adjustable, offering 10-way adjustments for the driver and 8-way for the passenger, ensuring an optimal driving position. Going for the Raptor R package, you also get excellent all-black Recaro seats interior Alcantara, and carbon fiber trim.
The Raptor R package also adds code orange stitching and R badges along with a model-specific grille and big orange graphics.
Standard across all 2024 Ford F-150 trims are 12-inch digital instrument clusters, providing customizable views for vital information, such as speed, fuel economy, and off-road stats. The SYNC 4 infotainment system is housed in a large, vertically oriented 12-inch touchscreen, enabling easy access to navigation, music, and vehicle settings. It includes built-in 4G LTE connectivity and supports over-the-air updates.
The center console is expansive, with a large storage bin, wireless charging pad, and additional USB ports. The Raptor comes equipped with a B&O Sound System featuring 18 speakers, delivering a rich audio experience.
The sheer presence of the 2024 Ford Raptor is enough to evaporate any Prius within a 10-mile radius, while the Raptor R with its hood bulge and Code orange accents screams The Star-Spangled Banner. Ford has also given some “acquired taste” micro tape stripes on the 2024 Raptor’s deck which along with a huge FORD logo atop the black grille that looks plain badass.
The 35-inch all-terrain tires with chunk grooves and wide rubber are enough to get the Raptor qualified for Baja runs, while for 2024 a new paint called Shelter Green is also available. The Raptor R also gets some carbon fiber accents and when equipped with the Raptor 37 package, a slim modular bumper is also added to the cosmetic facelift.
The 2024 Ford F-150 is truly unhinged and is more of a guilty pleasure despite its okay-ish utilitarian chops. Buyers going for the non-R Raptor will suffer from FOMO, however, the standard H.O V6 with 450 horsepower is no slouch and even gets up to 12 mpg with a relatively light foot.
The Raptor primarily goes against RAM TRX and Silverado ZR2 and bests them both with its otherworldly suspension system and represents Ford’s attempt at making the closest thing you can get to a full-blown trophy truck while remaining unbeaten as of 2024.
