Overview

Cars like the 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid Wagon might not be able to give you the direct benefits one might expect from its hybrid powertrain. However, its use must not be overlooked. The C-Max Hybrid uses its 2.0L Inline-4 and a single motor hybrid system and a 1.4 kWh battery to produce 188 horsepower. This gives the C-Max Hybrid a 0-60 of 8.1 seconds. The hybrid engine here is to support the gasoline engine to boost performance and offer slightly better fuel economy than what a single gasoline engine would be capable of. That said, the 2017 C-Max Hybrid achieves a combined fuel economy of 40 MPG. As part of the compact wagon, the C-Max Hybrid competes with the Toyota Prius v Wagon and the Kia Niro Hybrid which hails from the compact SUV segment. It offers 2 trims, starting off at an MSRP of $24,120.

Buying Advice

For a price increase of $3,000 from the base SE trim, the new Titanium has a lot to offer. It adds several features including leather seats, heated front seats, a 9-speaker Sony sound system, rain-sensing wipers, a rear-parking sensor, and more. However, the base SE is not a bad option to take home if you are tight on the budget.
