The 2018 Chiron has an 8.0L W16 powertrain with four turbochargers which generate power and torque of around 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of peak torque respectively. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission comes standard that transfers all that enormous power to all four wheels (AWD). The acceleration is one of the USPs of 2018 Chiron. This helps it to achieve an incredible straight-line cruise. The 2018 Chiron reaches the 60 MPH mark in just 2.4 seconds. The quarter-mile timing of the car is 9.4 seconds. The top speed of the 2018 Chiron is 261 MPH.

The 2018 Bugatti Chiron dominates with its power delivery, thanks to its quad-turbo engine, as compared to the McLaren Speedtail. It is almost the same as what the Regera has to offer. The Koenigsegg Regera makes more torque than any of the two rivals, followed by the Chiron and the Speedtail. The 2018 Chiron reaches the 60 MPH mark much quicker as per the race car standards than the Regera and the Speedtail. The top speed of the Chiron is at par with the segment.
2018 Bugatti Chiron Ride and Handling
The 2018 Bugatti Chiron comes with an adaptive height adjustable suspension which ensures a stable and composed ride. You will feel almost no effect of bumps inside the cabin, but a bit of high speed would be noticeable over undulations for sure. The rigid and lightweight carbon fiber monocoque of the 2018 Bugatti Chiron gives excellent torsional integrity to the Chiron. The Chiron comes with front diffusers, and vanes and strakes. Furthermore, it gets a flat underbody, and a large rear diffuser which helps to gain that high speed effectively. The steering provides an apt input even at high speeds, which certainly gives you confidence while driving. The body roll is almost negligible due to its low ground clearance. Also, the noise insulation is on point!
2018 Bugatti Chiron Braking Performance
The 2018 Bugatti Chiron’s all four wheels come with carbon-ceramic disc brakes. The brake pads of the 2018 edition of the Chiron can last up to 50,000 miles. The size of the brake rotors of the 2018 Chiron is yet to be determined. The nosedive is negligible during abrupt braking, and the Anti-Lock Braking system engages effectively. To decrease the heat generation, the 8 pistons at the front and 6 pistons at the rear are built from titanium. The braking tech from Formula One has been used in the 2018 Chiron.

The size of the brake rotors is not yet available for the 2018 Chiron, Regera and Speedtail. The 2018 Chiron comes with more curb weight as compared to the Koenigsegg Regera, whereas the weight for the Speedtail is not yet available. This affects the momentum which affects braking, especially when driving at higher speeds. In our view, the braking tech of the 2018 Chiron is more advanced than the Regera and the Speedtail.
