Overview

The 2010 BMW 5 Series sedan is a premium midsize sedan offered in 3 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $45,950. For that price, it mainly competes with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Audi A6, and Cadillac CTS. Between 3 trims, the 5 Series Sedan offers 3 powertrains. The base engine is a 3.0L DOHC 24-valve Inline-6 capable of making 230 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 360 horsepower-making 4.8-liter DOHC 32-valve V8. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual. The 5 Series Sedan reaches 60 mph from zero in 6.9 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 5.4 seconds with the 4.8-liter DOHC V8. Depending on the powertrain, the 5 Series Sedan can manage a combined fuel economy between 18 and 22 mpg. While we're on the topic of choices, the 11 striking colors the 5 Series Sedan comes in really pull you towards itself. The 2010 BMW 5 Series fetches an average price of $9,990. However, average savings of around $94 can be expected. With around 205 units of the 5 Series available for purchase, we offer a vast inventory for you to choose from.

Buying Advice

Powered by a refined engine, mated to a smooth transmission, the 2010 BMW 5 Series Sedan is a phenomenal machine to drive, without any lag, and exceptional cornering ability. Traveling long distances with this is no less than pure bliss, and with that, the spacious interior just makes the rides more comfortable. However, no standard navigation system can be a constraint for many, although BMW offer it optional. Compared to most rivals, the 2010 5 Series Sedan is more enjoyable to drive, and thus can be considered as a great buy, although the 5 Sereis comes with below average crash test rating.
