Overview

The Audi Q7 is the family SUV in Audi’s fleet. It falls under the midsize luxury SUV segment, and that is a very competitive space to be in. The Q7 is one of the first three-row SUVs, it feels like a combination of a sports sedan and a luxury SUV also it handles quite well and provides much comfort. Audi is refreshing the Q7 for the 2024 model, it highlights a new front end with new redesigned headlights and grille. The 2024 model Audi is going to come with a 2-liter Turbocharged Inline-4 engine on the Premium 45 and Premium Plus 45 models, while the Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige 55 will come with a 3-liter Turbocharged hybrid V6 engine. The base model’s engine produces around 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It is not the fastest but a fast vehicle going from 0-60 within 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.

This midsize luxury vehicle provides quite a good ride and handling experience, other than that it offers a spacious interior and a bold-looking exterior and comes with a list of features both on the inside and the outside of the vehicle. Also, the Q7 is quite a fuel-efficient vehicle as it provides an average fuel economy and a very good driving range. The Q7 competes goes head-to-head with the Volvo XC90, the Mercedes Benz GLE which is the only two-row option in the line-up, and the Infiniti QX60.

Buying Advice

Among all the four trims available for the 2024 Audi Q7 models we recommend the Premium Plus trim as it provides all the features that the base model comes with and some features which are offered in the highest Prestige trim. It comes at $64,495 for the 45 TFSI and $68,495 for the 55 TFSI variant. Also, the trim comes with the same engine that is on the base trim of the 45 TFSI and 55 TFSI models. The Premium Plus trim comes with a 20-inch wheel, a wireless charging pad, 23- Bang & Olufsen speakers, and many more. So overall this trim is most worth the money as it provides so many features both as standard or available.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The Q7 is the biggest SUV in Audi’s line-up and it is getting a refresh/face-lift for this year’s model. The new model comes with a new redesigned front end along with headlights and a grille. The powertrains that the Q7 offers are remains unchanged, and most if not all the mechanical aspects remain unchanged. Although this year’s Audi is coming with adaptive cruise control as standard, other than that couple of other features are also getting added to the different trims. It is going to be available in gasoline, and diesel plug-in hybrid options. Audi is basically trying to buy some more for its next-generation Q7 by giving a second cosmetic update to its current generation for the 2024 model.

Overall in this comparison, the Infiniti QX60 is the clear winner as it is cheaper, offers better performance and design, and whatnot!

Final Verdict

This SUV is not much expensive and is cheaper than many of the segment leaders, it offers quite a wide range of functionality with its features and available packages but still to a point. it does not lack any desirable features; however, the base model offers fewer standard features than many SUVs in the segment, but still gives a tough fight to many of those vehicles.
