Overview
Competing in the midsize SUV class, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander goes up against other notable names in the class, like the Honda Pilot, the Mazda CX-90, and the Nissan Pathfinder. Spread across 3 trims, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander starts off at a base price of MSRP $43,000. Not all trims are built equally, as there are three powertrains on offer. The standard engine is a 2.5L turbocharged inle-4 engine rated for 265 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. The second engine on offer is a 2.5L inline-4 hybrid engine and has been tweaked to produce a combined power of 243 horsepower. The third powertrain is a more powerful version of the hybrid unit, named as hybrid max, and makes 362 horsepower. As per Toyota’s claim, the hybrid max powertrain will allow the Grand Highlander to reach 60 mph in under 6.3 seconds and tow 5,000 lbs with ease.
