Overview

The 2012 Rolls Royce Ghost Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the fullsize sedan class. With 2 trims on offer, the Rolls Royce Ghost has a base MSRP of $250,000, with prices going all the way up to an MSRP of $290,000, competing directly with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S Sedan, the Mercedes-Benz AMG S65 Sedan, and the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Sedan. All these cars are obviously cheaper yet more powerful than the Ghost. Only a 6.6L twin-turbocharged V12 engine is offered, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 563 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, the Ghost maintains a combined fuel economy of 15 MPG. Rolls Royce offers the Ghost in 35 stunning colors, with the Salamanca Blue being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

Out of the two trims available, we think the base trim holds the most value for the price it commands. As standard, it comes with an active air suspension, automatic xenon headlights, heated front, and rear seats, 10-way power and massaging front seats, a sunroof, and a plethora of other creature comforts. To top it off, Rolls Royce also throws in a customization programme that lets you customize everything inside out.
