Overview

The 2012 Bentley Mulsanne Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the fullsize luxury sedan segment. With standalone trim on offer, the Bentley Mulsanne has a base MSRP of $290,000. It competes directly with the Rolls-Royce Ghost Sedan while the Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 Sedan and the BMW ALPINA B7 Sedan are also potential rivals that have significantly less costly price tags. Only a 6.8L twin-turbocharged V8 engine is offered, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 505 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds, the Mulsanne maintains a combined fuel economy of 13 MPG. Bentley offers the Mulsanne in more than 100 stunning colors, with the Ice Metallic being a particular favorite of ours.
