Overview

The 2019 Mercedes Benz GLA-Class is a proud member of the subcompact SUV segment, locking horns with cars like the Volvo XC40, the Cadillac XT4, and the Lexus UX 200. Spread

across two trims, the GLA Class starts off at a base price of MSRP $33,400 and carries on to $35,400. Its 2.0L Inline-4 engine and 9-speed automatic transmission give the SUV 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages a 0-60 of 6.1 seconds and boasts a towing capacity of 3,306 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the GLA Class manages to get a combined EPA rating of 27 MPG, a number that is great for the class, and highly improves the GLA Class's practicality. It also has a ground clearance of 5.3 inches.

Buying Advice

Both trims on offer are pretty much the same except for the drivetrain it offers. The top 4Matic trim adds an all wheel drive system which is definitely worth spending an additional $2,000 on it. As for the features, both the trims have similar features on board. However, we recommend the GLA 250 4Matic for its capabilities and all weather driving prowess.
