Irrespective of price, drivetrain, and features, the 2024 Jaguar F-Type presents only one powertrain, a supercharged 5.0L V8, mated to an 8-speed automatic, making up to 575 horsepower @ 6500 rpm and 516 pound-feet of torque at 3500 rpm. Just like DNA suggests, this all-new F-Type is one of a kind machine that just disappears in a blink of an eye, whenever revved. Although, the F-Type offers only one kind of engine, depending on the trim, the core configuration changes. The base and mid trims come with the P450 configuration while the P575 configuration is reserved for the top trim, named R75. With the P575 in hand and a top speed of 186 mph, the R75 crosses the bar of 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds while the P450 takes around 4.0 seconds to meet the same. The 2024 F-Type is mechanized with both RWD and AWD, however, the rear-wheel drive is fixed for the R-Dynamic, and the 75 and R75 come standard with AWD, providing a more stable ride and handling.

Among the quad, the BMW M2 is something that the other trio doesn’t dare to threat. With a top speed of 181 mph, the M2 is always ready to smoke any of the mentioned coupes. Similar to the AMG, whenever an average BMW gets associated with the M tag, it suddenly becomes a beast, and this is the case here too. The Jaguar is probably the only one on the list to actually stand against the BMW, but if the Lexus and Porsche are taken into consideration, then we are forecasting the result. The 718 Cayman is no doubt one of the best coupes out there with the best handling, and timeless appeal, but in no way, it can face the F-Type, with a top speed of 170 mph, and 0.5 seconds behind the same to clock 60. The same story repeats with the RC F too. Among all, the M2 is the only one to come with a 6-speed manual that a true driver seeks.
2024 Jaguar F-TYPE Ride and Handling
The 2024 Jaguar F-Type drives like the predecessors, just this time, it gets better. The handling is more composed now, while the inner experience is more subtle. Well, that does not mean, the 2024 F-Type is the quiet kid in the class. Rather she is now a bit mature, with shivering acceleration, when required. It’s a Jaguar, thus the proper implementation of aerodynamics has always been there. With fender vents, hood ducts, adaptive dynamics, switchable active exhaust, and AWD, the 2024 F-Type delivers the best available driving experience possible. With a cherry on top, the coupe is also mechanized with an electronically active differential with torque vectoring by braking, which helps to make an efficient turning without losing much traction while balancing the power delivery making the ride and handling more stable. Coming with four driving modes - Normal, Rain/Ice/Snow, Dynamic, and Track, the 2024 F-Type not only provides a balanced yet sporty experience but also shakes the inner soul with the ignition of the Track mode. If you want to experience her true nature, drive her crazy with the Track mode where she acts like the bird who just got freedom after years passed in a cage.
2024 Jaguar F-TYPE Braking Performance
Mechanized with 4-wheel vented discs, the braking performance of the 2024 F-Type is quite satisfactory. Along with the big disc brakes, the F-Type is also mechanized with a range of brake assistance features such as an antilock braking system, automatic emergency braking, etc, which helps the coupe to stop timely. With a cherry on top, the electronic active differential with torque vectoring by brake lowers the distance without losing control in tight turns. The 15” rotors at the front and 14.8” in the rear do the job perfectly, to avoid were and tear, the brakes are well lubricated and ventilated which lowers the distance. With the top trim, 380 mm front and 376 mm rear brakes with red calipers have been installed, which improves the braking performance to a whole new extent.

Among the quad, the 2024 Jaguar F-Type is the heaviest while being mechanized with considerably big-sized rotors, coupled with other mechanisms. The Pirelli tires do their job in the best possible way, so as do the other components. Among all, the 718 Cayman Cayman is the one that offers the biggest front discs. With a 133 ft braking distance, the Cayman literally shines in the segment. Talking about the M2 and RC F, both are almost similarly weighed as the F-Type and while the M2 is mechanized with similar-sized brakes, that of the Lexus is smaller, and thus the latter covers more distance than any other coupes.
