Part of the fullsize pickup truck segment, the 2014 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Regular Cab competes with the GMC Sierra 2500HD Regular Cab, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Regular Cab, and the RAM 2500 Regular Cab. A base price of MSRP of $30,035 gets you a 6.2L V8 and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Despite the price going up to $36,865, this single powertrain is found in all 2 trims. This engine produces 385 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-60 of 7.3 seconds, and is offered as both RWD and 4WD. The Ford F-250 SuperDuty Regular Cab offers a single 8-feet cab with a payload capacity of 4,130 pounds. It also offers a healthy towing capacity of 12,500 pounds.

Buying Advice

The base trim would work if you need a workhorse, but if what you want is a pickup truck for daily driving and overhauling purposes, going with the top-tier XLT trim is the wisest choice. It brings keyless entry, an integrated trailer brake controller, a Bluetooth phone, audio connectivity, a four-speaker sound system, cloth upholstery, heated outside mirrors, and plenty of other standard features. We also recommend the FX Off-road package worth $295 to make it more potent when it comes to off-roading.
