Overview

The 2016 Volkswagen Eos Convertible makes for an excellent contender in the compact convertible segment. With a single trim on offer, the Volkswagen Eos has a base MSRP of $31,995. It competes directly with the Buick Cascada Convertible. Meanwhile, more expensive rivals include the Audi A5 Convertible and the BWW 4 Series Convertible. Only a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 engine is offered, mated to a 6-speed automated manual transmission. Together, they produce 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 7.1 seconds, the Eos maintains a combined fuel economy of 25 MPG. Volkswagen offers the Eos in 4 stunning colors, with the Deep Black Pearl being a particular favorite of ours. 

Buying Advice

The lack of options shouldn’t bother you as by default the Volkswagen Eos has a good collection of features. It includes dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats with a leatherette surface, an eight-speaker sound system, an integrated sunroof with a hardtop, 17-inch wheels, and more.
