The 2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 63 Convertible makes for an excellent contender in the midsize convertible class. With a single trim on offer, the Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 63 convertible has a base MSRP of $147,300 and competes directly with the Audi R8 V10 Spyder, and the Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible. Only a 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8 engine is offered, mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 557 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, the AMG SL 63 convertible maintains a combined fuel economy of 19 MPG. Mercedes-Benz offers the AMG SL 63 Convertible in 17 stunning colors, with the Lunar Blue Metallic being a particular favorite of ours.

The SL 63 AMG Convertible slots in right between the standard SL models which bundles the features from the standard models and includes a more powerful V8 engine.
