Overview
The 2016 Maserati Quattroporte is a fullsize sedan offered in 5 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $99,900. For that price, it mainly competes with the BMW 7 Series, the Porsche Panamera, and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. Between 3 trims, the Quattroporte offers two powertrains. The standard engine is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine capable of making 404 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 523 horsepower-making 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Quattroporte reaches 60 MPH from zero in 5.0 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 4.6 seconds with the V8. Depending on the powertrain, the Quattroporte can manage a combined fuel economy between 17 and 18 MPG. While we’re on the topic of choices, the 11 striking colors the Quattroporte comes in really pull you towards itself.
