Overview

The 2011 Lexus GS460 Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the midsize sedan class. With just one trim on offer, the Lexus GS460 has a base MSRP of $55,370, competing directly with the BMW 5 Series, the Audi A6, and the Mercedes Benz E-Class. Only a 4.6L V8 engine is offered, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 342 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, the GS460 maintains a combined fuel economy of 20 MPG. Lexus offers the GS460 in 8 stunning colors, with the Mercury Metallic being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

Since there is just one trim on offer, Lexus provides a lot of optional features to choose from. Our suggestion would be the 14-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound system, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth phonebook downloading, rear parking sensors, and a power active stabilizer.
