... corrosive and destroys the ac system. Honda knows about the problem and will split repair costs with you 70/30 or 80/20. However, it is an ongoing problem and if you keep the car, it will happen again and again. Honda doesnt have it listed as a recall. Will not buy honda again. Read More

The 2019 Honda Civic sedan comes in this highly competitive segment with a J.D power rating of 81 which is a summation of 79 in Quality and Reliability, 84 in Driving Experience, 82 in Resale, and 81 in Dealership Experience. Having been priced at a starting MSRP of $20,505, the Civic trim level of LX, SE, EX, EX-L, and Touring goes with a spot-on build featuring a 5-star NHTSA at the same time. It takes on the space against the likes of the Mazda 3, Toyota Corolla, and the Nissan Sentra. Also, the "HOWSTUFFINMYCARWORKS" observes that "oil dilution and unburnt fuel were some common problems there from 2016-2018 models." To know more, Click on the video below:

2019 Honda Civic Sedan Problems

The 2019 Honda Civic has been registered with 100 complaints in different units including the mechanical, electrical, and safety malfunctions. Some of them have been mentioned below:

Electrical system:

  • Audio issues: The Honda Civic 2019 sedan seems to have issues regarding the speaker's volume and clarity as they go haywire, thereby, distorting that musical experience altogether.
  • Infotainment system issues: Just like any other Honda car, the Civic has complaints regarding the unintended reboots in the infotainment unit on a recurring basis.

Mechanical issues:

  • Fuel pump issues: The 2019 Civic sedan can have engine stalling or abrupt acceleration at the time of pedaling owing to fuel pump malfunctioning.
  • Braking issues: The Honda Civic is prone to brake failure due to undesired stiffness at the brake pedal. The parking brakes have been reported as well for improper functioning.
  • Engine oil dilution: The Civic’s engine oil can leak and get mixed with coolant causing it to stall. This could be a serious concern when driving on the highways.

Safety issues:

  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) malfunction: The 2019 Civic seems to have faulty TPMS sometimes that signals you a false warning about the tire pressure. It can be either high or low from the defined one.
  • Loss of power assistance: Some complainants state that there is a random loss of power assistance to either the brakes or the steering. Due to this, the affected parts become very difficult to operate and have resulted in collisions and crashes.
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance (FCA) issues: The FCA in the Honda Civic gives issues and false warnings while driving without anything nearby. The issue intensifies when the FCA engages the automatic emergency braking. The absence of any objects increases the risk of rear-end collisions.
