Overview

The 2017 Dodge Viper makes for an excellent contender in the midsize coupe class. With 5 trims on offer, the Dodge Viper has a base MSRP of $87,895, with prices going all the way up to MSRP $118,795, competing directly with the Chevrolet Corvette, the Porsche 911 Carrera, and the Jaguar F-TYPE R. Only a 8.4L V10 that produces 645 hp and 600 pound-feet of torque engine is offered, mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. Together, they produce 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds,the Viper maintains a combined fuel economy of 14 MPG. Dodge offers the Viper in 8 stunning colors, with the Adrenaline Red being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

The GTC trims add quite a lot of features to the base trim making it worth paying an additional $7000. It not only adds additional features but also boasts some performance upgrades like Brembo brakes, five-mode stability control, driver-adjustable dampers and taller sixth-gear ratio.
