Starting off at MSRP $44,450, going all the way up to 47,650, BMW offers you 2 trims for the i3 electric hatchback. For the price, it indirectly competes with the Nissan Leaf electric, the Chevrolet Bolt electric and the Hyundai Ioniq electric which happen to be priced quite competitively than their German counterpart. Not all trims are built equal though, as with 2 powertrain options available, the choice between trims gets a little more exciting. The base trim offers you a single-motor setup. This gives you a power output of 170 horsepower, capable of achieving a 0-60 time of 7.2 seconds from a RWD setup. With this, you get a 33-kWH battery rated for 118 miles of range. The second powertrain here is a single motor setup rated for 184 horsepower. It manages a 0-60 of 6.8 seconds. The battery here is the same 33-kwh, getting a range of 112 miles (114 miles on the base trim).
