Overview

Making its first appearance in the Avengers End Game, the RS e-Tron GT is one of the best-looking electric sedans Audi has ever built. Along with the electric SUV, the Audi has added more electrons, luxury, and power to the new GT. Made on the platform of Porsche Taycan electric, the e-Tron GT is furnished with more calm and situation-based furious intentions. Comparatively more power output than the Tesla Model S, the e-Tron GT remains behind when it comes to range figures. Thanks to the 270 KW DC fast charger, the new GT emerges as one of the fastest charging EVs on the market. The interior conveys a step to walk toward recycled materials. A sporty roofline helps manage a good aerodynamic efficiency, but it makes the rear seat challenging to in and out.

Buying Advice

CARHP recommends shoppers to take the carbon-performance package if –.they want added features in their RS e-Tron GT. Otherwise, the vehicle delivers the best value as it offers elevated features and comfort. A 637-hp is more than enough to steer this EV sedan faster than many of its competitive rivals. It arrives also equipped with interior ambient lighting which is an option on the ordinary models.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

For the 2023 generation, the Audi has made some appealing challenges. The front grille is now painted with a body-matching color. Ahead of all e-Tron models, the GT is now furnished with – 20-inch wheels with all-season tires, an integrated toll module for the rearview mirror, anti-theft wheel bolts, and a Bang and Olufson audio system. The power output remained unchanged, the RS variant carrying the same 590 hp to stand apart from the ordinary models. It appears with optional 21-inch wheels. The executive equipment package now consists of LED interior lighting. The RS e-Tron GT trim offers a standard matte carbon element, ceramic brakes package included with anthracite brake rotors, and a 21-inches wheel. It will be charging the road against the Tesla Model S, the Porsche Taycan Electric, and the Mercedes Benz EQS

Looking at the range figures, the newest EQS 580 is the most battery-efficient sedan in the comparison. The Tesla Model S Plaid has the best MPGe figures. The Taycan GTS offers the lowest range figures, while the 2023 RS e-Tron GT has the lowest MPGe numbers.

Interior
8.0/10

The interior of the new e-Tron GT resembles the previous RS models of the Audi. Being an electric vehicle, it does not have such a futuristic cabin with it. The interior does look cool and offers a shiny piano black finish along with the carbon-fiber finish on the dashboard. Every button on the dash is easily accessible and offers proper functionality. Depending on the preference, the physical button of the steering and the climate control can play different roles, as some people prefer touch-sensitive controls. The infotainment screen is bright enough and has a good touch response. Being a car lower to the ground, it is not very convenient to easily get in and out. The driving position is nice, but the visibility out of the car is at par for average size adults.

The well-cushioned front seats are comfortable and supportive on long rides, but a taller person surely gonna lack headroom and legroom on the rear seats. The heated front seats get toasty easily when it is cold outside. Along with the heating function, the car gets massaging and ventilated seat features without any extra charge. Apart from the luxurious interior and impressive performance, the RS e-Tron GT also boasts practicality. Being an EV sedan, it offers a frunk to carry more cargo. The interior is quiet, but the RS version mutters a bit lovely when driving on the Dynamic mode.

Exterior

The exterior of the new e-Tron GT has made significant changes. The front fascia and the grille are now painted to match the body color of the car. The car looks stunning from the outside with its curvaceous design and a sleek roofline that merges with the rear part of the vehicle. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes stand apart with their identity on the wheels. The standard 20-inch wheels with summer tires look great and elevate their endurance. The new RS design language of the Audi brings out a new blacked-out grille that goes all the way to the front diffuser. The front LED headlights to have various senses and feel like dancing. Two charging ports on either side of the vehicle– one for the driver's side and the other for the passenger side. The carbon fiber finished outside mirrors match the color of the roofline.

Functioning vents insert the air into the car and help in maintaining a low center of gravity. The dimensions of the car match the Porsche Taycan, but the Taycan has a more curvy rear portion. The rear portion of the RS e-Tron GT carries signature style connecting taillights with the Audi rings over that. It gets an RS badge

Competition

2023 Audi RS e-Tron GT vs. 2023 Tesla Model S Plaid

With a lesser price tag, Tesla is highly infamous for the amount of power it delivers. It has almost double the power output as the Audi. The RS e-Tron GT is heavier than the Model S. With the Model S plaid, Tesla offers one of the fastest accelerations in an EV sedan. The MPGe and range figures of the Audi are far behind that of the Tesla. The interior of the Model S along with that steering wheel, feels like a spaceship, while the Audi has the same interior as many of its other sedans.

2023 Audi RS e-Tron GT vs. 2023 Porsche Taycan GTS

Made on the same platform, the Taycan GTS is more affordable than the RS e-Tron GT. The 2023 Audi RS GT offers more range figures, meanwhile, the Porsche has better MPGe figures. The Audi is slightly on the heavier side. The 2023 Porsche offers more room for the front passengers, while the Audi appears with a more top speed. The Porsche Taycan is a bit shorter in length. The proportions and dimensions of both cars are the same but the Porsche Taycan comes with a more curvaceous back.

2023 Audi RS e-Tron GT vs. 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580

The top model of the EQS is way more reachable than that of the e-Tron GT. The Audi RS e-Tron GT has more powerful brake calipers that result in lower braking distance. The 2023 EQS brings more length and ground clearance with it. The infotainment screen on the Audi is minimal, but the EQS brings along the biggest ever touchscreen covering the whole dashboard. The technology features of the Mercedes are exceptional and the amount of luxury it delivers is not seen in any car of the segment. The Audi RS e-Tron GT is lighter and a little faster. The EQS appears with an extended wheelbase.

Final Verdict

The Audi RS e-Tron GT is a good option, but the price it carries along keeps it at par. It offers great acceleration, still a bit slower than many rivals. The braking system on this EV sedan is handsome. The second-row seats lack room for taller people, but the front seats are highly supportive and deliver an ample amount of comfort. If the shopper has a tight budget but wants more luxury then Mercedes Benz EQS is atop. If he is looking for more horsepower, the Tesla Model S plaid is there, as it offers a great blend of the minimal interior, but has way more range than the Audi.
