The 2019 Audi e-tron is an all-electric SUV that was first introduced in 2018. The battery-powered crossover combines the company's refined mannerisms with ambitious engineering. It was Audi's first fully electric vehicle and, in terms of size, it falls between the three-row Audi Q7 and the compact Audi Q5. The e-tron has been generally well-received, but there have been some complaints registered against it in the NHTSA database and the vehicle has had one recall. Sales have been strong, with over 5,369 units sold in 2019 alone and the current MSRP is $74,800.
Audi purposefully chose to give the e-tron exterior styling that is similar to that of its corporate siblings despite the fact that it has cutting-edge technology in order to make it more approachable for mainstream buyers. The e-tron Sportback model adds a curved roofline resembling that of a coupe to the line-up. Overall, the e-tron is seen as a high-quality vehicle with few problems, facing competition from the likes of the 2019 Jaguar I-Pace and 2019 Tesla Model X.
