Maserati the Italian Marque known to produce some of the most exotic cars filled with luxury and performance, recently the newest creation was spotted without any disguise. The Maserati GrandCabrio was set to debut in the Monterey Car Week that will begin from August 11 through 20 this year, however thanks to car spotters we got to see the upcoming car in the flesh and it looks unmistakably Maserati.
If you can see the images, the upcoming GranCabrio features a dark silver body with black wheels with matching bits and pieces on the exterior. One of the most notable features is the “Trofeo” badge situated in the front of the car. The exhaust tips are polished chrome that adds Italian flare to the design of the car. Look closely at the interior and you can find a complimenting grey theme going on which is done tastefully and enhances the overall appeal of the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio.

Overall the design of the Maserati GranCabrio follows the lines of GranTurismo up to the A-pillar, and since it is a convertible, the folding roof causes the design to change such as the rear deck to create enough space to fit the roof. We are speculating that the GranCabrio will have the Nettuno engine, which is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 block that was previously used in the GranTurismo. The engine is derived from the Formula-1 technology and provides both efficiency and adrenaline-rushing performance, by making 489 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque for the Modena trim and 550 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque for the performance-oriented Trofeo badge.

In addition to that, we can also see the all-electric Folgore version similar to the GranTurismo. The car will feature a three-motor setup, which will produce a total output of a staggering 750 horsepower and an insane 995 lb-ft of torque. With this setup, Maserati estimates a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds for the coupe, and considering the fact that convertibles are slightly heavier we can see a bump in milliseconds for the GranCabrio’s 0-60 time. However, 2.8 or 2.9 seconds is still under the face-melting fast territory and should be considered as one of the fastest Maserati you can buy.

Furthermore, the GranCabrio will not be the only car debuting during the Monterey Car Week, as all the limelight is reserved for Maserati’s track-focused tool of choice, the MCXtrema will also be introduced alongside on August 18. The MCXtrema will also use the Nettuna V6, however, in this orientation, it will produce 730 horsepower, and the production number will be limited to only 62 cars.
There is no official statement about the Maserati GranCabrio prices or when it will be available on showroom floors for sale. However, considering the already-launched GranTurismo is available in the U.S. with a base price of $174,000 for the Modena trim, and can go up to $205,000 for the more powerful Trofeo variant. According to the science of car prizing, the convertible version generally is more expensive than the hardtop, thus we are expecting that the GranCabrio will be offered at a premium price.
