2024 Land Cruiser Debut Sparks Rumors Of Toyota FJ Cruiser Revival

Toyota is one of the most reliable car manufacturers in the world, and they have become a household name for making some of the most well-built and reliable cars. Recently Toyota shook the automotive industry a little with the return of the Land Cruiser offroad SUV in a more accessible package. Like previously, at the reveal of the Land Cruiser SUV, two more unknown vehicles were teased in the background for a few seconds, which showed the plans of Toyota.

Latest News On The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser:

The launch of the Land Cruiser 250 was presented by Toyota’s Chief Branding Officer, Simon Humphries. In the presentation there were no details shown about the mysterious vehicles, however, he provided hints about these upcoming vehicles with a statement that said, “Suffice it to say, there are a lot of exciting paths to changing the future of cars." He also stated that customers demand to keep the Land Cruiser nameplate relevant, and with the carbon-neutral approach they were able to make the Land Cruiser more affordable and "within the reach of more people".

Putting more light on the two secrets in the presentation, the left silhouette gets us more excited due to the fact that it can be the potential revival of the FJ Cruiser in an all-electric avatar. We are not surprised by the tease as Toyota already introduced such a concept back in 2021 and the silhouette of the compact cruiser radiates the FJ vibes.

There were several pre-assumptions made by several reputable sources that the production of the second-generation electric cruiser and the Crown EV was halted. However, now the official tease is here this might not be the case for the FJ Cruiser, which is now in the under-development process by the manufacturer.

As far as the other teased SUV on the launch is concerned, it is marginally bigger and has significantly less ground clearance to be speculated as FJ Cruiser. If you take a closer look the car seems to be an EV, however we cannot say that it is from Toyota or Lexus. Taking into consideration the context we can say that it would be related to the former. The rumors also say that it might be the Toyota Century-based luxury SUV that is debuting later this year, and would be Japanese take on the epitome of premium SUV, the Rolls Royce Cullinan.

To conclude everything, the Land Cruiser 250 will not be the only product launch this week, as they are updating the well-respected 70 series as a celebration of their 40th anniversary in 2024. It has been launched in Japan and will soon be available in Australia with a V8 diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, with a 4-cylinder diesel with an automatic transmission.
