The First 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Rolls Out Of The Assembly Line

GM has been kicking its EV game up a notch by assembling the hugely anticipated replacement of aging Chevy Bolt EVs. The first 2024 Chevrolet Blazer rolled off its Ramos Arizpe Assembly Plant in Mexico. GM is marketing the Chevy Blazer as the first mass-market affordable EV, with a price tag and most importantly enough range to replace the Chevy Bolt line of vehicles that will head to the chopping block by the end of this year.

Chevy Blazer is Not The GM’s First EV Rodeo

Last year GM sold less than 1000 units of its high-end and stylish Lyriq and the behemoth Hummer EV. GM has suffered greatly due to the global chip shortage and low demand for its EV lineup. Mostly due to the high price tag and Niche audience for both Cadillac Lyriq and Hummer EV. GM is betting big on the Blazer EV and the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV to save its all-American keister from going bankrupt and level the playing field a bit as the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Tesla Model 3 are selling like hotcakes everywhere.

Electric Blazer will come in 3 trim levels, initially

The top-spec Chevy Blazer SS will come with 557 horsepower and 290 miles with AWD as standard and will be available later this year with a price tag of $65,996. The Chevy RS is the sidekick and will be available with front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel-drive configurations with up to 320 miles of range and a price tag of Chevy Rs will be $51,995.

The Blazer ev 2LT will be priced at $47,495 with 293 miles of range and 19-inch wheels as standard. The most affordable of the bunch the Blazer EV 1LT will be available in early 2024 with a price tag of $44,995 and is expected to have at least 250 miles of range.

Tesla Supercharging will boost the Chevy Blazer’s Appeal

GM recently confirmed that it will adopt the NACS charging standard (Tesla Supercharging Network) alongside other carmakers. The switch from ccs to Nacs will allow the GM EVs to capitalize on Tesla’s already established and expansive supercharging network albeit from 2025 onwards. Meanwhile, current Bolt EVs come with a free $500 credit that can be used at any EVGO charging station, expect a similar-esqe incentive with the upcoming 2024 Chevy Blazer Evs
