McLaren is ready to deliver the 2024 750S based on the current 720S. It comes with subtle redesign and restyling making it a more powerful and swifter version and the best part is that it is available in both coupe and convertible options. It has the same engine but with a slight tweak allowing better performance.
The $324,000 2024 McLaren 750S Is A Restyled 720S With 740 Horsepower

The McLaren 720S has been one of the most incredible supercars of this era but that does not mean you cannot ask for something better. In fact, McLaren already has news for you about a better, more powerful and more stylish version waiting for you. The McLaren 750S has arrived for the 2024 model year with redesigned chassis and significant engineering tweaks.

Although the engine remains the same as the 720S on which the McLaren 750S is based, there are several changes that allow the latter to extract higher power. The brand has included some new components to make it stand above the supercars from the current market like the Ferrari 296 GTB. But the trimline still includes a coupe and a spider for the audience.

As soon as we heard that McLaren is going to cease production of the 720S, we were speculating a new model to take its place. The McLaren 750S has been the perfect replacement to put on the wheels of its predecessor. It uses the same base and the 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been retained as well. However, this time the output has been tweaked to extract 740 hp instead of 710 from the now-discontinued 720S.

The maximum torque available is 590 lb.-ft and we have the same 7-speed DCT from the 765LT. The acceleration is one-tenth of a second higher than the predecessor with a figure of 2.7 for a 0-60. Both the coupe and the Spider have a top speed of 206 MPH but the convertible is 0.1 second slower to reach the figure.

The 750S arrives with McLaren’s new-generation Proactive Chassis Control III which makes the front springs 3% softer and the rear ones slightly firmer. The front track width is 6 mm wider to help implement the new suspension geometry. The vehicle lift system has also been modified making the 750S take only 4 seconds to raise the front part. The 720S took around 10 seconds - how is that for overtaking the predecessor?

The design philosophy remains the same but there is fresh styling apparent at a glance. A new jumper has been added to supply air to the now redesigned front while the front splitter has been extended to provide more aerodynamic balance. The rear wing is active as usual but it is now almost one-fifth times larger than the previous iterations.

Both the coupe and the convertible model have a center-exit exhaust system inspired from the McLaren P1 but it has been repositioned to make the now-larger wing a bit higher. There are a lot of other changes in the rear section like the new bumper, a new deck and a mesh grille. The 750S is said to be the lightest supercar in series production and it is also hailed as the most powerful one yet.

The Carbon Fibre Monocage II is not the only part that makes it 66 lbs lighter as the 10-spoke forged alloy rims play an important role here. They have the Pirelli P Zero Corsa or Trofeo R tires for outstanding performance and the track brake upgrade comes with monoblock calipers and larger ceramic rotors.

Inside the cabin, we have Alcantara as standard but you can also opt for Nappa leather included in the TechLux specification or the Performance option that combines Alcantara with leather. The comfort aspects of the seats do not get any better than this and the dark metal finish with customizable ambient lighting just takes the whole atmosphere on a different level.

The instrument cluster seems sufficient with a 7.0-inch touchscreen loaded with all the latest tech and safety systems. The standard features are carried forward with Apple CarPlay, 360-degree rearview camera and the Bowers & Wilkins audio system. And if the exhaust note does not sound like music for your ears, the McLaren's Continuum cone speakers with an amplifier will do a fine job.

The exact date for the 750S to be available in the market has not been disclosed but we do have a price tag of $324,000 for the supercar. The McLaren 750S Spider is slightly more expensive with a figure of $345,000. However, these notions do not include the $5,000 processing fee or any additional options.
