The Genesis G80 follows the footsteps of its big SUV brother, the GV80 into the year 2025 with a similar amount of changes. The current generation has been around for a while since 2021 and has been a great competitor in the luxury sedan segment. The vehicle has always sported elegant exterior styling, a top-grade interior, and plenty of curb appeal at a price that does not disappoint. The 2025 model receives subtle refreshments which will surely take away the attention. You would just have to put the present-generation model to spot the differences.

The exterior of the 2025 Genesis G80 receives a redesigned double mesh grille and new headlamps with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology at the front. This allows for the projection of detailed sharp images or patterns onto the road surfaces at a distance from the vehicle. Buyers will be able to use this for a variety of applications, from head-up displays to decorative projections. As for the lower bumper of the vehicle, it receives a slight redesign over the ongoing model of the G80, bringing in a more aggressive appearance.
The refreshed G80 will also sport 20-inch five double-spoke wheels, akin to an aircraft propeller. Moving to the rear, we can witness a diffuser-like insert with a distinctive V-shaped chrome trim inspired by the front grille. As for the G80 sport, it gets a black garnish toward the rear to give the executive sedan a sporty silhouette. Additionally, the tailpipes are hidden, which reflects an eco-friendly aspect of the sedan, as Genesis plans to go all-electric by 2025, and goals an eight-car EV lineup by 2030.

Well, the interior of the upcoming Genesis G80 has been through a massive refreshment, following its SUV sibling, Genesis GV80. Now, a 27.0-inch OLED touchscreen dominates two-thirds of the newly designed dashboard. This couples the gauge cluster and the infotainment display to provide crisp graphics to the user. A touch of elegance is added with a crystal shifter knob and subtle tweaks to the switchgear. Additionally, the climate control now uses a new layout with a touch-sensitive interface. Buyers can also expect additional advanced safety features, considering that Genesis bagged the IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus award for the fourth time in a row.

Genesis also announced that it is yet to provide more details, and official specs will be revealed in 2024. However, we can expect the Turbocharged 2.5L Inline-4 and the 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6, present in the ongoing model to be carried over. Mated with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive, they emit 300 horsepower and 375 ponies respectively. We expect the 2025 Genesis G80 to be up at the dealerships within the coming months of 2024 with a higher starting price than the $55,345 in the outgoing model. However, enthusiasts are keeping a fine eye on the updates as it will give out a cutthroat rivalry to its direct competitors like the Audi A6, and the Lexus ES.
