Recently we got hold of Fiat’s latest car, the Fiat 500e. Based on the immensely popular and cute Fiat 500, the 500e comes with an electric powertrain. The Fiat 500 has been a much-loved hatchback amongst people globally. The 500e comes like the newer generation of the little car.
However, it is not just the launching of the Fiat 500e that is the big news, but also the fact that they will be coming to American shores quite soon, and the first lot to be sold will be the Fiat 500e (RED) special edition. So what does the new Fiat 500e (RED) have to offer?

What’s Special About The Special Edition?
Fiat, quite some time back had announced that they intended to bring back the Fiat 500 to America. However, after that announcement, Fiat had not given any other information on the subject, until now. Finally, we have a little bit of information about the upcoming 2024 Fiat 500e which will be coming to our shores very soon. Fiat has also confirmed that the first cars to be sold here will be the (RED) special edition and will be available for order on the FiatPass digital Collectible online.
The Fiat 500e (RED) special edition will obviously come with some standard features exclusive to the variant like 24-spoke 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, full LED headlights, and lane keep assist. The exterior is painted red as part of the theme, and the theme is carried on inside as well with a large portion of the dashboard from one side to the other finished in red.
The 500e (RED) comes with the same powertrain available in the regular Fiat 500e. It has an electric motor powered by a 42 kWh battery pack that can provide up to 118 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque with an estimated range of 149 miles. Fiat also claims that charging the battery from 0 to 80% takes around 30 minutes when connected with the DC fast charger.
What’s The Pricing On The 500e (RED)?
Unfortunately, Fiat has not released the price of the 500e (RED) yet. However, the base price should be somewhere around $34,000. There is also a probability that the US version of the 500e might get the larger of the 2 available battery packs which might even mean more driving range. However, this information is not yet confirmed. It is confirmed though, that the American variant will be provided with the same powertrain that is offered in Europe.
December 5th, 2023 sees the official reveal of the Fiat 500e in the US where we can find out a lot more information. The 500e is scheduled to arrive here in the first half of 2024 itself.

The Fiat 500 has always been an iconic car since its inception. In fact, the (RED) special edition is part of a charity tie-up between Fiat and Product Red which raises money to fund HIV and AIDS research. This adds a more noble cause to a very exciting car launch.
