The RAM 1500 TRX is a rugged, heavy-duty fullsize pickup truck that comes with an extremely powerful engine. The go-anywhere pickup truck, however, is on its last legs as RAM announces 2024 to be the last production year of the 1500 TRX.
RAM Bids Goodbye To The 2024 RAM 1500 TRX With Final Edition Variant

The RAM 1500 TRX is a very popular fullsize pick-up truck that became a favorite because of its rugged dependability and massively powerful engine. The beast under the hood is not only capable of taking the truck from 0-60 MPH in under 5 seconds but also capable of carrying and towing heavy loads.

The RAM 1500 TRX is a more powerful version of the RAM 1500 and meets its match with the Ford F-150 Raptor. However, this rivalry is soon to come to an end as RAM has recently announced that 2024 will be the last year of production of the TRX model.

2025 will see the launch of the RAM 1500 RHO which will be replacing the rugged and insanely powerful 1500 TRX which comes with a 6.2L Hemi V8 which is also called the Hellcat engine that can produce up to 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque that can take the pickup from standstill to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds. The 2025 RHO, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 540-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.0L I-6 Hurricane engine.

However, it was not just the insane speeds and pickup this truck could manage that made it so popular. What made it even more popular was that despite all the frills and excitement, it could still tow up to 8,100 lbs and carry heavy loads making it a proper working pickup truck and not just a performance car under the shell of a pickup truck.

The 1500 TRX was launched in 2020 as a more powerful version of the RAM 1500 to compete against the Ford F-150 Raptor, a more powerful version of the Ford F-150. The 1500 TRX gave a sporty character to an otherwise rugged but simple working truck.

In August 2020 RAM announced that the production of the RAM 1500 TRX would end after 2024. However, a truck so popular and so favored could not leave with a bang. So, to commemorate the event RAM launched a special variant called the Final Edition.

The RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition will be sold alongside the 1500 TRX. However, only 4,000 Final Edition trucks will be built and each of them will sell for $119,620, which is $22,135 more than the regular TRX. RAM will offer the Final Edition in 3 exclusive colors, Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue, and Harvest Sunrise.

The interiors of the TRX and TRX Final Edition will remain more, or less the same. They will both get the usual RAM-level luxury finish and high-tech features which will include a leather upholstered cabin, heated and ventilated seats, a heads-up display, and a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The TRX Final Edition gets a few special touches like satin and titanium finish interiors with TRX embroidery, special faux-suede door panels, and “Final Edition” written on the gauge cluster.

There is no doubt that the 2025 RAM 1500 RHO will be quite capable of the Utilitarian and Practical work of the 1500 TRX. The RHO will have an exciting and powerful engine that will be equally capable of taking the fullsize pickup truck anywhere. What the 2025 Pickup truck will not have is the madness and the insanity of the TRX which is the main reason why the RAM 1500 TRX will be missed. However, for those still seeking that insanity and madness RAM will also launch the RAM 1500 Ramcharger electric truck.
