The Rivian R2 has a lot going for it. After the much-awaited unveiling and the recent source code leak, we finally have a look at the R2. Unfortunately, it's gonna be a while till it hits the streets (2026 to be precise) yet it has managed to gain limelight, all thanks to a plethora of accessories introduced for the SUV. Looking at the accessories, the Rivian R2 is gearing up to present itself as an outdoor SUV. Read on to see how.
Whether the Rivian R2 is the right option for gearheads is a discussion on its own but it certainly is the right option for those with a knack for cooking. The R2 will be offered with the Travel Kitchen option which includes a water tank, cookware set, induction cooktop with additional storage, and a cooler. Apart from cooking, the R2 also takes care of extra luggage, all thanks to a quirky cargo box on the roof which comes with a ladder. This roof is also swappable with a tent which might not be that spacious but certainly gets the job done.

Other features include standard outdoor SUV quirks like a bike mount at the rear and a detachable cargo box. The latter comes with wheels and side handles for convenience. Interior is quite spacious in addition to foldable seats in all rows. Overall, despite competing against the Tesla Model Y, the Rivian R2 has the potential to stand with its accessorizing options and a competitive price tag.
