On the face of it, the 2025 Genesis GV80 is pretty much identical to the present GV80 SUV. The biggest addition in the 2025 model, however, happens to be the GV80 Coupe, a variant of the regular SUV but with a coupe-styled roof.
Genesis came into the market less than a decade back and still managed to put pressure on blue-blooded luxury brands like BMW and Audi. A phenomenon that is continued even today. Recently Genesis unveiled the 2025 GV80 and GV80 Coupe which caused a huge stir in the market. So, what is it that sets Genesis apart?

Since its inception as the luxury division of Hyundai in 2015, Genesis has been quite popular. In fact, Genesis became so popular are probably one of the very few automotive brands that managed to sell over 1 million cars in less than 8 years of existence. To keep up with this popularity, Genesis likes to tease their fans and prospective buyers by giving us a sneak peek of their upcoming cars, as they are doing with the 2025 Genesis GV80 SUV and the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe.
The Genesis GV80 is a very popular midsize luxury SUV that has been competing against known and well-established luxury brands. The GV80 Coupe is a new addition for the 3035 model year and with its coupe-like roofline, it is focused on rivaling the Audi Q8 and the BMW X6.

The 2025 Genesis GV80, from the outside, looks quite identical to the present GV80 SUV. The GV80 Coupe, on the other hand, has a much more dramatic roofline to set it apart. Small exterior changes to the luxury SUV include slightly reshaped bumper intakes and a new skid plate. The GV80 Coupe will also be offered with 20 or 22-inch wheels and a more powerful 409 horsepower twin-turbo V6 along with electric supercharging as compared to the GV80’s new 375 horsepower V6 which is not seen in the present lineup of the SUV.
Genesis has given both the SUVs a very ostentatious cabin with a mad level of attention to detail. A massive 27-inch display consists of the driver’s gauge cluster and a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system in a setup that resembles that of the BMW. The interior upholstery is also offered in a choice of three colors. Genesis has always tried to take that extra step in the pursuit of luxury.

The 2025 Genesis GV80 and Genesis GV80 Coupe are very exciting but interested buyers will have to wait for at least a year to order the midsize luxury SUVs, especially the coupe. However, the more eager buyer can also choose from the 2024 lineup that Genesis has in store for us. The Coupe is a new version of the GV80, so unfortunately it will not be available till 2025. Both the 2025 GV80 and the GV80 Coupe go the extra step to redefine luxury in a way that sets Genesis apart. And if just luxury is not enough, the new GV80 and GV80 coupe will also offer more power and better performance than the present GV80 SUV.
