Cadillac Teases It’s “Opulent Velocity” To Celebrate V-Series’s 20 Years

The V-Series has been Cadillac’s flagship lineup ever since it made its debut in 2004 and since this year marks its 20th year, the GM-owned automaker had to make it special. Cadillac dropped a small teaser that showcases a futuristic-looking front fascia of a car by the name “Opulent Velocity”. As the name suggests, the car will combine Cadillac’s revered sense of opulence with a high-velocity performance driving experience.

The V-Series made its debut at the Sebring International Raceway in March 2004 which also marked its first win with the CTS-V.R race car in the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge GT race. Keeping up with its legacy, Cadillac will return to Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of V-Series. “V-Series forges a transformative relationship between Cadillac’s championship-winning motorsports program and the road vehicles it influences,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac. “It is a proven formula delivering authentic performance through technology, resonating with our passionate V-Series enthusiasts over the past two decades.”

As for details, Cadillac has made no official announcements but what we know so far is that it's an electric car with zero emissions. This follows Cadillac’s plan of electrification, which also plans to be the first brand under GM to go fully electric. However, what has got all excited is that the car will get an exhaust note but no details on how it plans to achieve it. Well, that’s all that we know for now but for further updates, stay tuned.
