Everyone is dying to get a full shot of the upcoming supercar from the Italian luxury automaker but no luck. So far, all we have got is a few blurry and unclear images of the anticipated car. What else is Alfa Romeo hiding then? Scroll down to know more.
Alfa Romeo Supercar Teased Again Just Ahead Of Its Official Premier On August 30th

If any automobile manufacturer wants to learn how to keep the upcoming car images leakproof then they must contact Alfa Romeo.

Last month, the Italian automaker released a teaser image of its Supercar which is allegedly holding the "6C" moniker. However, some reports also suggest that the upcoming Alfa Romeo supercar is called 33. Both names are borrowed from former sports cars. The 33 either comes from the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 race car or from the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale road-legal supercar. On the other hand, the 6C is taken from the Alfa Romeo 6C which was made from 1927 to 1954.

Now that we are done with that quick history lesson, time to focus on the new Alfa Romeo teaser. It was posted on Facebook ahead of the World Premiere on the 30th of August that was scheduled to happen at the Alfa Romeo Museum. The tagline in the post said, “Il coraggio di sognare” which translates to "the courage to dream".

The new post shows what appears to be either a CHMSL (center high-mounted stop light) or a tail light with a triangular grille with vertical slats behind it. Meanwhile, some are also claiming that it is actually the partial engine cover that the company has teased. For now, let us go with the tail lights above which we can see the dark red paint whereas below it there is an extremely dark gray shade.

The previous teaser had a blurry view of what seemed to be a steering wheel. However, this one is at least clear and shows the uniqueness of the exterior elements. That is why we can’t help but agree with the CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato when he described the car as, “a true expression of Alfa Romeo DNA from a daring team with a desire to achieve the unique."

He has also added that the new supercar is “something that I could put aside the 8C in the museum of Arese." Meanwhile, it is important to remind you that Alfa Romeo CEO also shared a grainy image of the new car on Twitter in July.

That being said, so far, nothing major related to car specs has been officially released. However, the rumor that the new Alfa Romeo model shares similarities with the Maserati MC20 has been making rounds lately. If this is the case then the supercar is likely to be powered by a powertrain from the MC20.

The outgoing 2023 Maserati MC20 has a 3.0L Twin-Turbo Nettuno V6 engine which makes 621 horsepower. We believe that Alfa Romeo will add an electric motor to the setup. It would take the net output to 800 horsepower.

At the same time, some sources indicate the Alfa Romeo might put the 2.9 Twin-Turbo V6 engine in its upcoming model. The same engine is also found in the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio sedan and it makes 505 horsepower by default. The output was increased to 540 horsepower in the limited-production Giulia GTA model.

No word about the price either. However, it has been reported that even before the car confirmation by its parent company, Stellantis, Alfa Romeo was accepting deposits. Additionally, the new supercar will be a limited production model, and allegedly, all units are already booked. So if you were hoping to get your hand on it, better luck next time.
