Audi first released the e-tron SUV in 2019. Since then, they have also added a sedan version called the e-tron GT and a crossover called the Q4 e-tron to their lineup. As part of a significant revamp, the original e-tron is now getting a new name to set it apart from the rest of Audi’s e-tron lineup.
From next year onwards, the Audi e-tron will be known as the Q8 e-tron. The updated EV comes with a new look and a longer range while having the same powertrain.
Pricing for the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron hasn’t been revealed, but we expect a slight price increase. And according to Audi, the electric SUV will come out in Q2 of 2023.

Power Output and Performance Figures for the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron
In the US, two variants of the 2024 Q8 e-tron will be sold: the Q8 e-tron 55, which replaces the base version e-tron, and the SQ8 e-tron, which will replace the e-tron S.
Power outputs remain the same as before for both variants. The 55's maximum output in Sport mode is 402 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque, thanks to its dual-motor all-wheel drive system.

On the other hand, the SQ8 e-tron has three electric motors, two of which are located on the back axle and produce a total of 131 horsepower. The one lone motor located on the front axle produces 166 horsepower. These three motors combine to produce a maximum output of 496 hp and 718 pound-feet of torque in Sport mode.
The SQ8 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds as opposed to the 55 model's 5.6 seconds. The SQ8 e-tron can go 130 mph, while the top speed of the 55 is restricted to 124 mph.
Range and Charging Capabilities of the 2024 Q8 e-tron
Both models of the 2024 Q8 e-tron come with the same battery, which has a usable capacity of 106.0 kWh. According to Audi, they are trying to achieve a range of more than 300 miles for certain versions of the new Q8 e-tron.
This would be a 30 to 40% improvement over the current model's EPA range, which tops out at 222 miles.

The range of the Q8 e-tron series is estimated to be between 307 and 373 miles when tested using the European WLTP test cycle.
Additionally, Audi claims that the Q8 e-tron can be charged at a rate of up to 170 kW with a DC fast charger, which allows the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 31 minutes.
Exterior Desgin of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron
The Q8 e-tron debuts a new mask-like grille design, visually connecting it with the e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron, but at the same time, it maintains the same general body shape as the old e-tron.
There is a redesigned version of the four-ringed Audi badge on the new grille, over which there is a light bar that connects the headlights.

The logo, along with the model name, is laser-etched into the B-pillar of the vehicle. Air suspension is standard on the Q8 e-tron, and the body height can be changed by around three inches.
Remote park assist plus is now available as part of the driver-assistance systems on the Q8 e-suite tron. The Q8 e-tron also has smart matrix LED headlights that, depending on the situation, may independently illuminate various stretches of the road. However, for the time being, these lights are only available in Europe due to different restrictions there.
Interior of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron

The interior of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron has a 10.1-inch touchscreen located atop an 8.6-inch display in the cabin, and these two touchscreens primarily control all functions; however, drivers can also issue voice commands.
A head-up display, four-zone climate control, and massage seats are available as options. The interior has new light brown walnut wood trim.
The synthetic leather-wrapped seats and the Dinamica microfiber, which is created from recycled bottles, fiber scraps, and old fabrics, are features of the S-Line package.

When will the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron go on sale?
The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is scheduled to arrive in the US by the end of April 2023. Pricing hasn’t been revealed by the company yet, but we do expect a price increase over the current starting price of $71,995 for the standard model and $89,395 for the S. One thing to keep in mind is that Audi will continue to sell gas-powered versions of the Q8 and SQ8 alongside the Q8 e-tron.
Once released, the Audi Q8 e-tron is expected to compete against the likes of the Jaguar I-Pace, Tesla Model Y, and Ford Mustang Mach-E.
