The 2013 Mazda Speed 3 makes for an excellent contender in the compact hatchback segment. With a single trim on offer, the 2013 Mazda Speed 3 has a base MSRP of $24,200, competing directly with the Ford Focus ST and the Subaru Impreza WRX. Only a 2.3L turbocharged Inline-4 engine is offered, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Together, they produce 263 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, the Mazda Speed 3 maintains a combined fuel economy of 21 MPG. Mazda offers the MazdaSpeed 3 in 4 stunning colors, with the Black Mica being a particular favorite of ours.

MazdaSpeed 3 has only one trim level with decent equipment. The available optional packages are also quite limited. If you wish to get larger touchscreens, LED tail lights, and more, we recommend opting for the only available Technology package.
