Cars like the 2016 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid Sedan might not be able to give you the direct benefits one might expect from its hybrid powertrain. However, its use must not be overlooked. The Q50 Hybrid uses its 3.5L V6 engine and a single motor hybrid system and a 1.4 kWh battery to produce 360 horsepower. This gives the Q50 Hybrid a 0-60 of 5.3 seconds. The hybrid engine here is to support the gasoline engine to boost performance and offer slightly better fuel economy than what a single gasoline engine would be capable of. That said, the 2016 Q50 Hybrid achieves a combined fuel economy of 30 MPG. As part of the compact sedan, the Q50 Hybrid competes indirectly with rivals from the midsize sedan segment which includes the Lexus ES 300h Hybrid, the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, and the Acura RLX Hybrid which has the highest base price tag among the bunch. It offers only one trim with a base MSRP of $47,050.
