The engine on service here is a familiar 3.0L turbocharged Inline-6 with an electric motor. Mated to an 8-Speed Automatic transmission, it makes 389 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The combined fuel economy on offer is 22 MPG, making the increase in sticker price worth it. The performance of the 7 Series PHEV also improves here, with the car accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.9 seconds. BMW offers the same 14 colors for the 7 Series PHEV.
