Overview

The new TT is a fun-to-drive Coupe that is appropriately aggressive and offers magnetic handling. It is an instant style icon tuned with a driver-focused cabin and thrilling powertrain. The 2021 model adds new standard equipment, premium Nappa leather upholstery, and new driver assistance technologies. The 2021 Audi TT complements a set of 19-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires. It stands firm in the Audi lineup with a Coupe body and sheer performance numbers. It pulls intense competition from Toyota Supra and Porsche 718.

Buying Advice

Audi has launched a single trim option for TT. You can go for S line competition package which costs $2,100. It adds 19" Audi Sport 5-arm-polygon high-gloss anthracite black finish wheels, S line sport suspension, Gloss Black exterior trim, fixed rear wing spoiler, Black exhaust tips, and Audi virtual cockpit with Sport visual mode. It makes the Audi TT look more similar to an even sportier S line at a much lower price.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

In power focus, the TT manages to equip a powerful 2.0L block and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels, enabling better cornering and all-terrain performance. As a result, the Coupe delivers steady acceleration and athletic control. In addition, you can sense a refreshed look with two new colors, Chronos Grey and Navarra Blue. Equipped with advanced driver aids and safety features, the new 2021 Audi TT is all about style, modernism, and performance.

Features
7.0/10

The 2021 Audi TT lineup offers a single trim option. Though, this class gets two different models to feed your cravings, TT and TTS. The TTS version is a more powerful car with disruptive performance numbers and magnetic dampers. The TT hosts an array of compelling features both inside and outside. Exterior gets a radiant look with programmable LED headlights, contrasting dampers, and a sculpted structure.

Fuel Economy
5.0/10

Sports Coupe like the 2021 Audi TT offers a decent fuel economy. It may not be the most potent Coupe on the block, but that has additional benefits. The car delivers an impressive combined mileage of 26 mpg. On highways, the vehicle emits 31 mpg, suitable for long weekend getaways. A sizable 14.5-gallon fuel tank underneath takes care of a long driving range. So if you are looking for an excitement-packed ride that is equally economical, the TT Coupe is a good choice.

Considering all Coupes, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe manages to gain the most extended driving range despite a comparatively lower fuel economy. On the other hand, the Audi TT gets a balance between economy and range. All the other cars in the comparison offer a better range than the Audi TT Coupe. Still, the 2021 Audi TT Coupe has a good range on offer for most driving conditions.

Interior
4.0/10

The interior space of the 2021 Audi TT Coupe is everything about style and comfort. There is impeccable styling at every corner topped with quality material usage and updated infotainment. The TT can pack four passengers on paper, but the rear seats are comical for adults. The expandable seats can store additional cargo or hand-held bags. The front sports seats are broader and more comfortable with a heating feature. Ample legroom keeps tall passengers relaxed. An 8-way power adjustment and 4-way power lumbar are everything you need for perfect seating. The rear seat comes with a 50-50 folding bench so that you can further expand the cargo room.

A range of creature comforts are added like an Auto-dimming interior rearview mirror with digital compass, cruise control with coast, resume and accelerate features, keyless start, and flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters. A sports steering wheel made in Aluminum and covered in leather adds additional comfort. Mounted controls and paddle shifters are a plus. Added conveniences include power front windows with one-touch up/down, illuminated glovebox, and cup holders. An automatic climate control system takes control of ambient cabin temperature at all times.

Exterior
8.0/10

The exterior design philosophy of the 2021 Audi TT is simply ecstatic. Engineers at Audi have done a fantastic job with long computational testing and fine-tuning. As a result, the body is now lighter than competitors and gets a curvier outfit. Fine-tuned structure is complemented with standard 18-inch double-spoke dynamic design alloy wheels with optional and recommended 19-inch set wrapped in performance summer tires.

The Coupe brings out a charming vibe with body-colored front and rear bumpers with a black insert. The front gets a black grille with a chrome surround and new LED headlights and DRLs. The sides embrace a closing Coupe design with body-colored side mirrors. The car's rear is jaw-dropping with an electronically controlled rear spoiler, LED brake lights, and twin-exhaust outlet with chrome tips.

Competition

2021 Audi TT vs 2021 Lexus RC 300

In terms of performance, the TT offers slightly better acceleration compared to Lexus RC 300. They both get the same engine configuration, but the TT fancies a 7-speed Dual-clutch Automatic while RC 300 accommodates an 8-speed shiftable automatic.

The exterior stance of Lexus RC 300 is superior to TT with a wider wheelbase and more height. Fuel economy and overall efficiency of the TT outshines RC 300. The fact that the 2021 Lexus RC 300 is the most affordable option in the segment makes it a good choice.

2021 Audi TT vs 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

The Mercedes C-Class is less expensive and churns out more power than the Audi TT. The TT gets an AWD setup for better handling and cornering performance. The exterior body of the C-Class Coupe features a wider wheelbase and low ground clearance.

The TT retains a more intuitive interior space with the latest infotainment and connectivity. Safety features in Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe are similar to Audi TT. The Audi TT Coupe becomes a better choice for driving pleasure because of better handling dynamics.

2021 Audi TT Coupe vs 2021 BMW 4 Series Coupe

If you are looking for a powerful and dimensionally superior Coupe, the BMW 4 Series Coupe fills inaptly. The Audi TT focuses on style and performance with a smaller body structure and at par interior space.

The handling capability of TT is the best-in-class. The interior room gets a premium look with sports seats and attention at every corner. But, when it comes to the 4 Series Coupe, all verticals get the supreme treatment.

Final Verdict
8.0/10

The 2021 Audi TT has got slight changes from the previous model. However, the overall stance and powertrain configuration remain similar. It becomes a great option for those looking for a Coupe that performs well with superior handling quality. The only shortcoming is the lack of practicality inside the cabin. If you can live with that and can afford to pay a slight premium over the competition, then the 2021 Audi TT Coupe will not disappoint you with its performance.
